ERICA OAKES

RN, CANS, OWNER/MASTER INJECTOR

Culture represents a sense of “collectiveness and refinement,” denoting a team of professionals with a collective mission for refining and improving the quality of life for clients in Knoxville and East Tennessee. Culture Aesthetics & Wellness does this by providing a host of cutting-edge aesthetic treatments along with state-of-the-art wellness services to offer an all-inclusive experience. The idea for this dream team originated in the mind of Erica Oakes. And, thus, Culture Aesthetics & Wellness was born.

Erica is a board-certified aesthetic nurse specialist, master injector, national trainer for Allergen (makers of Botox®), and proud partner of Culture Aesthetics & Wellness. But before it all came about, Erica was a proud East Tennessee girl carving her path in life.

ERICA GRINNELL

RN, NURSE INJECTOR

Joining the team at Culture Aesthetics & Wellness is the equivalent of a homecoming for advanced nurse injector Erica Grinnell, RN. In fact, she’ll tell you it was the easiest “yes” of her career. Being able to administer aesthetic treatments that change lives alongside other like-minded professionals who have become a second family just makes each day worthwhile.

With several years of experience producing beautiful outcomes through injectable neurotoxins and fillers, Erica has affirmed there’s nothing else she’d rather do professionally. But she started out following a slightly different path in helping those of the more four-legged variety.

LEILA BEYER

OWNER/PRACTICE MANAGER

Having lived in Knoxville her entire life, Leila Beyer’s love of her hometown eventually morphed into a desire to offer something that she believes Knoxville hasn’t seen before – an elegant, full-service medical aesthetics and wellness spa providing the people of East Tennessee sought-after services right in their back yard. That dream was realized with the creation of Culture Aesthetics & Wellness, of which Leila is a proud partner and Practice Manager. But her journey to her beloved role of today didn’t unfold in a straight line, per se.

After graduating West High School (where she was heavily involved in soccer), Leila attended University of Tennessee to study biology and pursue her childhood dream of becoming a marine biologist. To this day, dolphins are still her favorite animal. She earned her Bachelor of Science in biology but admits she struggled after college at first as far as which direction to take in life.

LAURA PRICE

ESTHETICIAN

Laura is our Master Esthetician at Culture. She’s an expert when it comes to facials, laser treatments, microneedling, dermaplaning, chemical peels, extractions, medical-grade skin care products, and several other beauty offerings for our East Tennessee clients. Whatever it takes to get your skin where you want it to be, Laura takes pride in being your trusted guide every step of the way.

Though born in Upstate New York, Laura has proudly called the Knoxville area home since the age of 6. Growing up, she always had a thirst for trying new things, which she still delights in to this day.

After graduating high school, Laura wasn’t yet sure which direction to take with her career.

STEFANIE HUDSON

ESTHETICIAN

Stefanie comes to us from the wonderful world of dermatology and has been in the beauty biz since 2020. At Culture, she prides herself on providing services such as dermaplaning, the DiamondGlo Facial, microneedling, and our ever-popular Glo2Facial, among other popular options.

Born and raised in Maryville and currently residing in LaFollette, Stefanie is an East Tennessee girl through and through. Growing up, she played basketball throughout middle and high schools. But she also had big aspirations of running her own hotel in Hawaii someday. Thankfully for us, she decided to keep it here in Tennessee and first try her hand at working for a dermatology practice instead.

Though she started out on the office side of things, she absolutely fell in love with skin care and has never looked back. Being a self-proclaimed people person certainly didn’t hurt in setting her on a new career path either.

INARA GADZHIYEVA

RN, NURSE INJECTOR

Inara is a registered nurse and skilled injector with more than 10 years of solid experience in the beauty biz. Her extensive knowledge of facial anatomy and rejuvenation along with her expertise in neuromodulators, fillers, chemical peels, laser treatments, body contouring, and more are such wonderful additions to Culture. Needless to say, she fits in with our team like a glove.

As a first-generation immigrant, Inara primarily grew up in Knoxville after moving here at the age of six. A church sponsorship helped pave the way for her family to emigrate from Azerbaijan, a country once part of the Soviet Union. But before becoming an honorary Knoxvillian, Inara had to get adjusted to American life along with the rest of her family, which she admits was a challenge starting out.

“I didn’t learn any English until we were here,” she said. “None of our family members did, in fact.”

TARAH BROOKE

LASER SPECIALIST

Tarah Brooke is someone who loves engaging with people. Her personality puts you at ease almost immediately, and within minutes, you’re not talking to a friend.

Tarah is our laser specialist here at Culture Aesthetics and Wellness offering laser hair removal, laser skin tightening, laser skin peels, and much more.

She also does specialty laser-based treatments, such as VOTIVA, a vaginal rejuvenation treatment that helps resolve bladder leakage issues. She also performs Vtone treatments, which can provide the toning of 13 weeks of pelvic floor exercises in just six weeks’ time.

And there’s little need to advertise her services; the vast majority of her patients come from referrals from other patients. They like Tarah that much.

SUSANNA FISHER

CLIENT COORDINATOR

Our Client Coordinator Susanna Fisher is the first smiling face you’ll see when you come for your Culture appointment. With her infectious, positive personality and enthusiasm for all things aesthetics, there’s no better person for this front-and-center role.

A Tennessee girl through and through, Susanna was born and raised in Knoxville and spent much of her youth as a competitive dancer…all the way up to being a member of the BOSS Dance Company affiliated with the University of Tennessee.

On the academic side of things, she majored in psychology at UT, so it’s safe to say she didn’t start out with aspirations of venturing into aesthetics. But a chance meeting with Culture founders, Erica Oakes and Leila Beyer, thanks to her uncle, Paul McCurry, M.D., (one of Culture’s medical directors) changed all that.
